Through membership in the Society for Environmental Simulation (GUS), Peters can offer its range of services to a broader target group. 150 providers are networked via the platform

The Peters Research Laboratory has now become a member of the Society for Environmental Simulation (GUS). This puts Peters' ELPETEC service offering on a broader footing. ELPETEC is a quality testing laboratory that provides customers with valuable information on the technical properties of cured and liquid coating materials for electronics. "The added value of membership for us is that we are networked with another 150 suppliers via this platform," reports Detlev Schucht, head of research and development at the Kempen-based coatings experts and laboratory manager at Peters Research.

For a flat processing fee, the test lab analyzes a wide variety of coating results on customers' test boards or assemblies via measuring instruments and devices, climate cabinets. "These results are used for product selection, development, data determination, quality control or even failure analysis," says Schucht, who has been with Peters for nearly 30 years. Through GUS, this portfolio of services is now integrated into the laboratory list, placing Peters in a fair competition of high-performance test laboratories in this science segment.
