Oltrogge installed a system for electrostatic painting at Awila Anlagenbau. This ensures a uniform coating thickness on all components, saves material and reduces costs.

Awila Anlagenbau develops and builds silos, plants and individual components for a wide range of industries. Until now, the company used airless technology for painting the frequently rather large plants. A product demonstration by the long-standing service partner Oltrogge convinced the company of electrostatic painting.

Today, the company uses a system from Oltrogge partner Wagner, which consists of an electrostatic hand gun of the latest generation and a control unit. The GM 5000 hand guns offer robustness as well as comfortable, ergonomic handling. The soft and homogeneous spray jet ensures high coating quality and a very high application efficiency. "We observe that especially for large-area parts, the coating thickness is now perfect. Thanks to the new technology, the coating is optimally distributed in an even thickness at all times," concludes Tomas Schulze. "For small or angled parts, we also notice a material saving of 30 to 50 percent compared to the conventional coating process."
