The FLIR PT-Series AI SR is designed for continuous monitoring of large areas, facilities and critical infrastructure. It features thermal imaging and 4K visible light sensor optics that perform well even in low light conditions. The camera can be used in darkness as well as in bright sunlight and adverse weather conditions. It is suitable for urban environments as well as remote installations such as ports, industrial estates and data centers.
Cameras communicate with each other
"Our PT-Series AI SR has AI capabilities and Nexus, FLIR's proprietary communication protocol that allows our devices to communicate seamlessly with each other for accurate target detection and tracking," explains Michael Deruytter from FLIR. The devices utilize AI and can be paired with other stationary FLIR or PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras. The ability to automatically pass data to these cameras supports reliable detection and classification at a distance.
Thermal sensor with high performance
One of the key technologies of the new PT-Series AI SR is the high performance of the uncooled thermal sensor. It achieves an extremely low NETD value of <25 mK (Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference). The sensor therefore offers exceptional sensitivity for detecting the finest temperature differences and therefore clear and detailed images. The possible stepless 4x optical zoom for the MWIR infrared resolution of 640×512 pixels and the 25x optical zoom for the 4K resolution in the visible light spectrum ensure precise target detection in any environment.
