Teledyne Flir IIS introduces a new modular and compact USB3 camera series. The Dragonfly S series incorporates USB expertise and many years of experience in various industries from life science to factory automation.

The new Teledyne Flir IIS series meets the industry's need for a modular, compact and lightweight camera for volume production, volume-based applications and multi-camera systems.

Modular concept for fast development cycles

Dragonfly S features a modular design to accelerate the initial phase of image processing application development. "The modular concept of the new camera enables engineers to quickly test, develop and bring competitive machine vision products to market at scale," says Sadiq Panjwani, General Manager at Teledyne Flir IIS.

Embedded and handheld applications

The camera series is suitable for embedded or handheld applications such as biometric kiosk solutions, ophthalmoscopy, 3D scanning, automated optical inspection and much more. It is available in various configurations. The USB port is offered in rear or side orientation with screw locking mechanism. The housing models comply with EMC safety class B.
