The platform for chemical analysis now offers the complete range of titration methods. System analysis of the water content and determination of the bromine index are possible.

The modular platform for chemical analysis from Metrohm, Omnis, now complements the Omnis Coulometer. This means that the complete range of titration methods is now available. These range from pH measurement through potentiometric, photometric and thermometric titration to volumetric Karl Fischer titration and coulometry for water determination in the trace range.

No titer determination required

Coulometry is the preferred method for determining the moisture content in the trace range (10 μg to 10 mg absolute content) in liquid, solid and gaseous matrices. The application is simple. Results are available in less than three minutes. As coulometry is an absolute method, no titer determination is required.

Dosing module facilitates measurement

The Omnis Coulometer offers flexibility: if the sample volume increases, users can add another Omnis Coulometer module. For example, they can determine the moisture content and bromine index in parallel or carry out analyses with different reagents. The use of an Omnis dosing module prevents the risk of contact with the KF reagent. It enables fully automatic replacement of the used reagent.
