DeFelsko is presenting its PosiTector series of measuring devices at PaintExpo. The basic unit of the inspection kit makes the user's work easier with a shock-resistant 2.8-inch color touchscreen, a redesigned keyboard and intuitive, fast-response menu navigation. At the same time, the device makes contact with a smartphone, tablet PC, desktop computer or portable printer via Bluetooth or Wifi. The modular concept implemented by the US measurement technology manufacturer allows different measuring probes to be used. The range includes modules for measuring coating thickness, determining the surface profile, testing for soluble salts, measuring wall thickness and calculating the dew point.
Expandable with various probes
Each inspection kit includes the basic device as the main component. It contains all the probes and test programs relevant to industrial painting technology. The user can thus configure an individual inspection kit tailored precisely to his needs. As part of the further development of the PosiTector measuring devices, DeFelsko now also supplies a software solution. However, third-party software can also be used.
Increased connectivity
In addition to the USB connection, Bluetooth and Wifi ensure adequate connectivity. The user can also connect a Bluetooth barcode scanner or a Bluetooth keyboard to immediately annotate measured values and batches. The inclusion of relevant communication protocols allows collaboration with robots, drones or remote-controlled vehicle systems. Up to 250,000 measured values in up to 1,000 batches and sub-batches can be stored in the device.
