Gloss measuring instruments such as the PosiTector GLS device measure the surface with a calibrated light source and a light sensor positioned at opposite angles to each other. Gloss is automatically calculated from the reflectance determined in the process. Available in three different model variants, the Defelsko system has a reference standard integrated into the base unit for this purpose, which recalibrates itself each time the instrument is switched on.
Thanks to different measurement modes, the PosiTector GLS is suitable for almost any application. The spectrum ranges from fast pass/fail inspections (HiLo mode) to continuous measurements with the generation of real-time statistics (statistics scan mode). The measured values can be downloaded and evaluated and further processed using the PosiTector software. Like all devices of the PosiTector platform, the PosiTector GLS system is designed to be user-friendly. Highlights include the shock-resistant 2.8 inch color touch screen, measurement speeds with a performance of more than 60 readings per minute and the IP65 certified housing.
