ABB has launched AppStudio, a new software tool that allows users of all skill levels to quickly and easily create customized, graphical user interfaces for robots. The solution is intuitive to use and has features such as a collaborative, cloud-based library. Users can share app templates. In this way, AppStudio can reduce set-up times by up to 80 percent.

Suitable for all ABB robots

AppStudio is compatible with all ABB robots running on the OmniCore control platform. After installing the software, you can reuse an existing setup or select templates, models, building blocks and examples from a cloud-based library - in twenty available languages. In addition, individual user interfaces can be created for each device and application, including the OmniCore FlexPendant handheld, tablets and cell phones.

Intuitive drag-and-drop functionality

AppStudio helps customers migrate from the IRC5 controller to the OmniCore platform, reducing the time it takes to rebuild graphical user interfaces from days to minutes. Thanks to AppStudio's intuitive drag-and-drop functionality, configuration is easy: icons, drop-down menus, buttons and other features can be added with ease. Advanced users can create custom interface elements using a JavaScript-based building block system.
