With the focus topic "Sustainable Production", LIGNA 2025 from May 26 to 30 in Hanover will offer the woodworking and wood processing industry a platform not only to discuss risks in the industry, but also to actively exploit the opportunities for a sustainable future. Modern machine solutions for woodworking
At LIGNA, Siemens will be demonstrating how proven machine solutions can be combined with technologies such as AI-based quality inspection and Industrial Edge: "Our state-of-the-art solutions use open interfaces to combine scalable automation with digital technologies. Whether it's about quality, flexibility, reliability or sustainability - Siemens offers customers the technologies they need to remain competitive," says Sébastien Liénart, Head of Business Development - Production Machines for Wood, Siemens. The Siemens presentation includes the Industrial Edge Ecosystem. Also on display: a model of a processing machine. Another highlight is the presentation of Inspekto - a powerful solution for visual quality control for the wood processing industry.
More efficiency for the sawmill
Linck Holzverarbeitungstechnik GmbH, Europe's largest manufacturer of sawmill and profiling systems, will be presenting the new Pro Nano line, a system concept developed for processing weak wood. "Sawmill operators are faced with the dual challenge of a difficult and expensive log supply and high price pressure on the sales side," says Raphael Burger, member of the sales and management team at Linck. For many years, the manufacturer has focused on maximizing the value yield. Pro Nano is available in three versions, all of which operate without a turning device and are characterized by minimal space requirements. This concept underlines the company's goal of continuing to be the market reference for maximum value yield, even when cutting small timber.
Sustainability and digitalization
In terms of sustainability, it is also worth visiting the stand of Fagus-GreCon Greten GmbH & Co. KG in Hall 26 this year. The focus of the trade fair presentation is on smart, remote-capable solutions and systems that help to save costs and improve quality by conserving materials and resources.
Making production competitive in the long term
Venjakob is coming to LIGNA 2025 with turnkey coating lines from a single source that cover all aspects of surface pretreatment, coating, drying technology and automation. Technical Managing Director Rudolf Eickhoff explains: "Our approach as a general contractor enables us to develop customized solutions that meet the specific requirements of our customers. In doing so, we place particular emphasis on sustainability and resource conservation."
