While there were 1,288 exhibitors in 2023, there are currently around 1,337 companies at the trade fair - and the trend is rising. Two thirds of the companies come from abroad. The occupied exhibition space currently amounts to 112,772 square meters and thus remains almost at the previous year's level despite challenging economic conditions.
Strong presence at the anniversary event
"For the 50th anniversary of the trade fair, the exhibitors are giving themselves the gift of a strong presence," says Stephanie Wagner, Project Manager of LIGNA at Deutsche Messe AG, "We are confident that the numerous product innovations and the high motivation of the exhibitors will provide important impetus for the market."
New formats provide fresh impetus
With the LIGNA.TruckStop in the southern outdoor area, a new craftsmen's format is celebrating its premiere. Five companies, including Festool, Hettich and Makita, will be presenting their products from show trucks, giving visitors an interactive experience. Another highlight is LIGNA.Circular, which focuses on the circular economy in the wood industry. This format, embedded in the LIGNA.Stage in Hall 12, highlights sustainable innovations in processes, materials and business models. Six themed islands offer insights into current developments, including best-practice examples from Dieffenbacher and research projects on the use of wood. Partners such as the Fraunhofer WKI and the TU Braunschweig will be presenting new approaches for the future of timber construction.
LIGNA 2025 will take place in Hanover from May 26 to 30.
