With the SO-3 oil-free screw compressor, Boge has improved the energy efficiency of its SO series. The specific power consumption has been increased by up to eight percent. This increase is based on an intelligent concept. The newly developed compressor stage of the compressor scores with very low speeds and therefore low compression temperatures as well as low wear. The integrated IE4 drive motor also contributes to efficient and economical operation. Further increases in efficiency result from the cooling system with low compression and outlet temperatures.
The screw compressor is very compact, but still allows access to maintenance-relevant components. Specific soundproofing measures have reduced the noise level. Depending on requirements, the compressor is available with frequency control and heat recovery. With heat recovery, up to 94 percent of the energy used can be used to heat service water and for heating purposes. The screw compressor heats the process water up to 90 °C.
