For decades, the Strunz entrepreneurial couple has maintained very good contact with the University of Bayreuth and has been involved with an entrepreneurial spirit as supporters of the University of Bayreuth. In doing so, the sustainable strengthening of the region is of great concern to them. In 2010, for example, Dr. Heinrich Strunz took over the office of chairman of the board of trustees of the "Betriebswirtschaftliches Forschungszentrum für Fragen der mittelständischen Wirtschaft an der Universität Bayreuth (BF/M)." Since taking office, he has been pushing the goal of continuing and expanding BF/M's role as a partner for medium-sized businesses.
In addition to her activities as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bayreuth, Dr. Dorothee Strunz is also involved in a variety of professional and private honorary offices. The focus of her commitment is above all the active promotion of young people from the Hochfranken region. Among other things, she has supported the ideas competition of the Institute Entrepreneurship & Innovation of the University of Bayreuth for many years. "We see it as a matter of the heart and our entrepreneurial duty to strengthen young founders in their ideas and talents and to prepare them for the challenges of entrepreneurship," says Dr. Dorothee Strunz.
