The program for this year's ITSC - International Thermal Spray Conference and Exposition has been finalized. Visitors can expect three days full of exciting technical presentations on the topic of "Surface Solutions - Amazing Opportunities" as well as an exhibition of manufacturers, distributors and service providers offering solutions for surface coatings. The conference program will highlight areas of application for thermal spraying (such as the automotive industry or aviation) as well as processes.
A number of event formats are also aimed at people outside the industry or newcomers, such as the exhibition (Exposition), the "Industrial Forum" and the "Thermal Spray in a Nutshell" forum. Not only thermal spray processes are included this year, but also buildup welding and additive manufacturing. Another highlight, especially for students and budding scientists, is the "Young Professionals" session on the afternoon of the first day of the event. Here, students present their findings from study projects. The professional audience will vote on the quality of the presentations and the winner will receive the "Oerlikon Metco Young Professionals Award". The "ITSC Best Paper Awards" will also be presented.
