The Terra Carta Seal is an award that recognizes global companies that are driving innovation and creating sustainable markets. AkzoNobel is proud to be among the first recipients of the Terra Carta Seal, which was presented by the Prince of Wales at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26. The seal is part of Terra Carta, a plan to restore the balance of nature launched earlier this year through a sustainable markets initiative by Prince Charles.
Recognition was given to AkzoNobel's credible transition plans. Accordingly, the paints and coatings manufacturer plans to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, and CEO Thierry Vanlancker accepted the award in Glasgow. "The recognition of our efforts by receiving the Terra Carta seal is a source of great pride for all of us in our company," he said.
