"Ziehl-Abegg is a family business and will remain so in the future," says Dennis Ziehl. The Supervisory Board has therefore decided to hand over responsibility for the entire management board to the successful Chief Production Officer Joachim Ley. "With Mr. Joachim Ley (CEO), Mr. Wolfgang Mayer (CTO) and a successor for the CFO position to be named as soon as possible, we will have a three-member Management Board in the future," explains Supervisory Board Chairman Ziehl.
Already with Ziehl-Abegg since 2021
Ley, who holds a degree in industrial engineering, had been COO (Chief Operating Officer) of the company since 2021. He was also responsible for the areas of production, purchasing, central logistics and processes. After completing his studies, he took on various management positions in operations. Prior to Ziehl-Abegg, he was responsible for many years as a board member in a market-leading supplier company in the aviation industry.
Thanks to the CEO and CFO
Dennis Ziehl warmly thanked CEO Dr. Marc Wucherer and CFO Olaf Kanig for their work over the past years. Dr. Wucherer had introduced a strategy for the future to make the company fit for global competition. "The approach chosen for this was and is correct and comprehensible," said the Chairman of the Supervisory Board. During his five years as CFO at Ziehl-Abegg, Olaf Kanig had managed his area of responsibility with great personal commitment and was jointly responsible for the positive, value-adding development of the company.
