Christina Bauder has taken over as head of the Paint Chemical Application Technology team in the Coating Systems and Paint Technology department at Fraunhofer IPA as of September 1, 2023. She succeeds Dr. Jörg von Seggern, who is retiring at the end of October. The chemist, who holds a doctorate, is responsible for continuing and expanding projects in the specialist areas of corrosion protection, application research into new paint raw materials, paint chemical testing technology and coating technology.
Bauder has been employed at Fraunhofer IPA since 2011 and brings many years of experience from her work as a project manager on the topics of corrosion protection coatings, photocatalytically active coatings, paint raw materials and formulations, renewable raw materials and testing technology. She is also actively involved in committee work in the DIN working groups "Photocatalysis" and "Corrosion Protection Materials and Systems". Most recently, she took on the deputy role of group leader in 2022.
