Technically flawless equipment is also a must in winter sports. Manufacturers of skis, snowboards and ski goggles rely on bonding technology to offer maximum safety in cold, snow and damp conditions. High-performance adhesives are also used in the construction and repair of cable car cabins or for integrating chips into ski maps.
Water-repellent and UV-resistant
Because snow, moisture and sun are constant companions in winter sports, the adhesives used must not only be water-repellent and UV-resistant, but also flexible enough to compensate for the continuous stresses and strains such as pressure and vibrations. The properties of the new adhesives from Ruderer enable force-fit bonding, which guarantees long-lasting safety and density as well as consistent protection against extreme weather conditions.
Adhesives for cable car cabins
The paste-like 2-component PUR adhesive technicoll 9431 ensures maximum stability, strength and safety when bonding GRP sandwich panels or outer sheets. This high-performance adhesive is not only highly flexible, but also has good shock, sound and vibration damping properties. In addition, technicoll 9431 protects the bonded joint from moisture and dirt by providing an absolutely reliable seal. To ensure that seating comfort in chairlifts does not fall by the wayside, Ruderer has developed the sprayable soft foam adhesive technicoll 9129.
Bonding in cable cars
The technicoll 9129 flexible foam adhesive combines elasticity with lightness and is characterized by very good resilience. This means that established seat foams that have been processed with technicoll return to their original shape within a very short time. This high resilience is not lost even under permanent load. For bonding fabric covers in cable cars, Ruderer - as a long-standing trading partner of H.B. Fuller - offers the solvent-based neoprene contact adhesive Swiftcol 9044. This red, sprayable polychloroprene adhesive adheres to rigid foams, plastics, metal and wood and is characterized by good heat resistance.
Adhesives for skis and snowboards
The 2-component epoxy resin adhesives technicoll 8266/67 and technicoll 9461, for example, ensure a durable, structural bond between the sandwich elements of skis.
