Displays and touchscreens are becoming ever lighter and more functional, their frames ever narrower. This also applies to the manufacture of electrical appliances, refrigerators, coffee machines, washing machines or dishwashers. Display glass, frames or housings, and electronic modules must be structurally bonded to each other in such a way that they can permanently withstand vibration, heat, cold, moisture, humidity, or dust. Various adhesives can be used for bonding displays. Ruderer Klebetechnik GmbH offers individual solutions and competent advice.
With invisible high-performance adhesives, displays can be glued without frames. A structural and thus permanently stable bond between the ever larger cover glass and the ever smaller frame can only be achieved if the adhesive used optimally takes into account the thermal and mechanical properties of the two materials on the available minimum bonding surface and has a very high adhesive strength. Since frames are becoming narrower and narrower and some of the displays are curved or curved shapes, the use of reactive adhesives (1- and 2-component) is recommended. These have exceptionally good adhesion values and guarantee high strength. They also exhibit high heat resistance and good low-temperature flexibility.
