Henkel presents Cleaner & Coater technology

Anzeige Cleaning and pre-treatment | Created by BA

The latest white paper from Henkel Adhesive Technologies presents the so-called Cleaner & Coater technology. This enables users in the metal industry to halve process steps and save energy and water.

The cleaning and coating of metal parts is associated with high water and energy requirements. This makes it difficult for manufacturers to achieve sustainability targets and drives up process costs. A new white paper from Henkel shows how the conventional eight to ten process steps can be reduced to four thanks to the latest coater generation - for example in conversion processes with zinc and iron phosphate.

Latest coater generation

At the heart of the process developed by Henkel is Bonderite M-NT 41044, a so-called Cleaner & Coater product that combines the cleaning and coating of metal parts in a single step. It can be used together with powder coating, wet coating or cataphoretic coating applications in general industry.

Process engineering and ecological advantages

The white paper describes the process engineering and ecological advantages of the new technology. Using the household appliance manufacturer BSH Turkey as an example, it presents the results of the combination of cleaning and coating. A checklist shows readers what savings potential the current configuration of their pre-treatment line offers and how they can make their production more sustainable.
