The pandemic and the war in Ukraine are having a lasting impact on the global economy. Participants of the Hannover Messe from May 30 to June 2 will discuss how these challenges can be met.

With a total of more than 600 presentations and panel discussions, the Hannover Messe is a unique knowledge platform. Companies present strategies and solutions on various stages. On the Mainstage in the H'Up, for example, the focus is on sustainability, climate protection and green hydrogen. The 3rd Lightweighting Summit of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is under the patronage of the German Minister of Economics, Dr. Robert Habeck. Its themes - climate protection, resource efficiency and resilience - are particularly relevant given the global political situation.

The Industry 4.0 stage in Hall 8 is the platform for technical solutions and topics, such as interoperability, additive manufacturing, predictive maintenance and cyber security. A new topic is Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS), the production of goods as a service. The MES conference, which will take place on June 2 on the Industrie 4.0 stage, will address the question of how manufacturing can be made more sustainable and economical and what role MES plays here as an enabler of Industrie 4.0 and sustainability.
