PFAS (per- and polyfluorinated alkyl compounds), which are currently contained in many paint systems, are not completely degradable in the environment, or only over very long periods of time. In addition, some of them are suspected of being carcinogenic. This is why Walther Trowal is presenting rotamats for coating mass-produced small parts with PFAS-free bonded coatings for the first time at the trade fair.
Rotamat process technology specially adapted to PFAS-free varnishes
In cooperation with a manufacturer of coating systems, the company has specially adapted the process technology to the properties of the new coatings. A typical application is the coating of sealing elements made of elastomers and plastic - for example O-rings or, increasingly, large-volume flat gaskets or bellows.
Circular vibrators for mass finishing
Walther Trowal will also be exhibiting the CB circular vibrators for mass finishing, which are particularly suitable for integration into interlinked, automatic production processes. A centrifugal system from the TT series will also be on show, which removes heavy burrs or rounds edges, for example. In the two-batch version, the machine minimizes non-productive times with synchronous processes, thus achieving a very high throughput with a small footprint.
