Tantec will be presenting various treatment systems for plastics at this year's plastics trade fair. The ZeroNOxTEC plasma system will take center stage at the trade fair. Its strength lies in the environmentally friendly and efficient surface treatment of plastics.
Using nitrogen as a process gas
During plasma treatment, ZeroNOxTEC separates the oxygen (21%) from the atmospheric air and feeds the remaining nitrogen directly to the plasma nozzles as a process gas. This process can reduce emissions of harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) by up to 98%. This makes plasma treatment not only safer and more environmentally friendly, but also more efficient. In addition, the costly procurement of nitrogen is no longer necessary. This increases efficiency and reduces operating costs.
Rotating plasma system
Tantec will also be exhibiting the SpinTEC30 rotating plasma system at its stand in Hall A2. The compact and lightweight system can be flexibly integrated into almost all plastics processing operations. In order to treat only the surface areas that are required, the user has access to functions for precise programming. The very high processing speed of up to 25 m/min, coupled with minimal maintenance requirements (only three wearing parts), makes the SpinTEC30 system a versatile universal tool.
Protection through extraction and filter system
As plasma or corona treatment can release emissions that are harmful to the environment and health, Tantec's subsidiary FlensTech has developed extraction and filter systems that effectively remove harmful emissions such as ozone or NOx during treatment. The Flens Tech systems can also be seen at Tantec's stand in Hall A2.
