Evonik Coating Additives is expanding its portfolio of silicone acrylates with a new free-radically crosslinkable additive for radiation-curing printing inks and coatings.

Evonik's new additive TEGO Rad 2330 has several reactive groups per molecule, which ensure good crosslinking and thus low migration. It consistently shows a strong reduction in surface tension, anti-cratering effect and good slip and release behavior, as well as very low foaming. This makes the additive suitable for use in printing varnishes, printing inks and clear and pigmented wood coatings.

Evonik's TEGO-Rad portfolio of silicone acrylates offers manufacturers of printing inks and coatings a comprehensive range of additive solutions for radiation-curing UV and LED inks and coatings. These additives improve wetting and flow properties, prevent cratering, and enable manufacturers to produce products with the desired degree of slip and flow.
