The dynamic surface tension, which allows conclusions to be drawn about the surfactant content in process baths, plays a central role in reproducible cleaning. SITA develops targeted application technology to support industrial partners with modern measuring devices and practical advice.

Dynamic surface tension is a key parameter, as it directly reflects the surfactant content in process baths and plays a central role in reproducible cleaning. To address this, SITA is expanding its application engineering to support industrial partners with modern measuring instruments and practical expertise.

The requirements for stable and traceable cleaning processes are increasing across industries. Especially in high-tech applications, where even the smallest residues can have major consequences, monitoring the surfactant content in cleaning and rinsing baths is becoming increasingly important. A proven approach is the measurement of dynamic surface tension with tensiometers from SITA Messtechnik GmbH. This parameter enables precise evaluation of surfactant levels and thus provides critical information for process reliability.

Expanding application engineering for precise process monitoring

To meet the growing demand for reliable surfactant monitoring, SITA is strengthening its application engineering. In addition to technical consulting and instrument development, the company’s application laboratory for sample analyses is gaining importance. Here, users are also supported in the use of SITA tensiometers, which are applied both in laboratories and in production environments.

New to the team is materials scientist Benjamin Pietsch. With his experience in analysis and cleaning technology, he supports customers in selecting appropriate measurement methods and evaluating results directly in the process environment. The advantage becomes clear especially with two-component cleaners: both components can be specifically monitored with tensiometers and dosed according to actual consumption, ensuring consistent cleaning performance.

Inline tensiometers, foam testing and fluorescence measurement in high-tech industries

Demand for SITA technologies is growing particularly in the semiconductor industry, where inline tensiometers are used for real-time monitoring of process baths. The need for precise surfactant control is also rising in the development of inkjet systems and functional coatings. In addition to tensiometers, SITA foam testers and fluorescence measurement systems are established tools in these fields, helping to optimize cleaning and coating processes.

Beyond the use of measuring instruments, SITA also offers training and information formats such as webinars, expert lectures and the “QS Rein” seminar of the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT) on March 4–5, 2026. The seminar provides practical insights into the interplay between surfactant concentration, cleaning performance and process monitoring – with concrete tips for implementation in everyday operations.
