As part of the partnership, the companies plan to jointly establish themselves as a European system provider of battery production equipment and offer customers a high-performance alternative to the equipment suppliers that have so far mostly come from Asia. The target market of the cooperation is in particular the automotive sector. The combination of their complementary capabilities will enable the cooperation partners to offer their customers in the automotive industry the entire value chain in the field of Li-ion battery production from a European source. Grob has been a key player in the construction of production and automation systems for more than 95 years and contributes implementation strength in the conception, planning and commissioning of highly complex and customer-specific systems for high-volume production, especially for the automotive industry.
