Similar to the nEDC 300, the smaller sizes of the nEDC series from Edwards Vacuum also offer a straightforward, cost-effective solution for thermoforming, vacuum conveying, food processing and medical technology. According to the manufacturer, the latest generation of claw pumps is designed for reliable and efficient operation. Among other things, this has been achieved thanks to the oil-free pump chamber and the low-wear, corrosion-free internal parts. The vacuum pump also offers efficient air cooling. Its compact housing also makes it suitable for confined spaces.
Short downtimes
The modular design of the Edwards dry claw pump makes the inside of the nEDC 65-150 models easily accessible for maintenance and repair work, as the gear and pump chambers are separate. The claw pump can therefore be easily cleaned and quickly put back into operation. No special tools are required for simple work. This keeps downtimes to a minimum and enables an almost uninterrupted production process.
High process performance
As their motors are VSD-compatible, the claw pumps achieve high process outputs. Even in applications where contamination by particles or process gases occurs, the vacuum pump is resilient and insensitive thanks to new design and coating materials and stainless steel claws.
Moderate temperature profile
The temperatures inside the nEDC models remain comparatively low. This extends the service life of the seals and prevents oil leaks. In addition, long-term operation is possible without constant cleaning of the pump chamber. Thanks to the integrated basic silencer, the pumps operate much more quietly and take up less space.
