The DGO (German Association for Electroplating and Surface Technology) honors Bianca Birnmeier as the best graduate of the Semper Vocational Training and Technician School in Nuremberg. Previously, the association honored the achievements of graduates of the vocational school in Schwäbisch Gmünd and Zwickau.

One of the core tasks of the DGO is to increase, deepen and disseminate knowledge in the fields of electroplating and surface technology. This also includes the promotion and recognition of the achievements of young professionals. Thus, the DGO annually honors the best graduates in surface coating (m/f/d). Udo Krüger, head of the DGO district group in Nuremberg, presented Bianca Birnmeier with a certificate, a book prize donated in part by Eugen G. Leuze Verlag in Bad Saulgau, a free one-year DGO membership and a one-year subscription to the magazine Galvanotechnik. Also present were the trainers Daniel Simic and Rainer Heppeler as well as training manager Tobias Humpf.

The company TE Connectivity now provided the best graduate for surface coater for the fourth time in a row. Birnmeier was not only the best graduate in Bavaria, but also the best in Germany. She decided to train as a surface coater because most of her interests coincide with this job description. The young woman is interested in the chemical processes, sequences and reactions that she encounters in her daily work.
