Following the sale of the majority stake in Umwelttechnik in June, the next step in the Group's reorganization is to adjust the administrative structure.

Around 500 administrative jobs are to be cut at the mechanical engineering company Dürr by the end of 2026. This is expected to save EUR 50 million a year, with the first effects taking effect in 2027.

Declining demand and orders

According to the company, demand in the second quarter fell short of expectations. Incoming orders amounted to EUR 807 million (H1 2025: EUR 1,887 million) and were therefore below the level of the previous quarters. Sales amounted to EUR 1,001 million and were therefore 8% lower than in the second quarter of 2024 (H1 2025: EUR 2,008 million).

According to Dürr, the main reasons for the decline in demand were the global customs conflicts and geopolitical uncertainties. Despite the uncertain market environment, the Board of Management confirms the sales forecast for 2025 of EUR 4,200 to 4,600 million; however, the lower end of the target range is expected.
