Quality assurance (QA) permeates many processes and encompasses vision, image processing, sensor technology, measurement and testing technology, including software and evaluation. Control, the international trade fair for quality assurance, offers a high level of technical expertise and a high level of internationality - around a third of the exhibitors are coming from abroad again this year. "Halls 3, 5, 7 and 9 at the Stuttgart exhibition center will showcase various types of measurement technology and present them in a cross-industry format. One of the top topics is artificial intelligence (AI), the use of which will be demonstrated in many areas of the trade fair," explains project manager Fabian Krüger from the trade fair company P. E. Schall.
Control Quality Talk on the topic of AI
Because AI systems are also becoming more important in quality assurance, a new event format will provide information on this topic. The aim of the Control Quality Talk 2025 is to present the current practical status of the use of AI. The panelists include Dr.-Ing. Ira Effenberger, Head of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision Research at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Dr.-Ing. Ralf Christoph, Managing Director and owner of Werth Messtechnik, Florian Schwarz, CEO CAQ AG Factory Systems, and Dr. Christian Wojek, Head of AI, Zeiss IQS. The event will take place on the first day of the trade fair from 14:30 in Hall 7-7115.
Lecture forum and special show
As part of the lecture forum, trade visitors will be brought up to date on current quality assurance topics. They can also benefit from the special show "Contactless Measurement Technology" organized by the Fraunhofer Vision business unit, which is being held for the 19th time this year. This will showcase technologies, applications and system components from the field of non-contact measuring and testing technology.
