The Italian packaging specialist Albéa Cosmetics will be producing with a polycoater metallization system from Singulus Technologies in the future. The system enables a sustainable and cost-efficient vacuum inline coating process.

Albéa Cosmetics has commissioned Singulus Technologies to supply a polycoater system. The Italian packaging specialist based in Bergamo, Italy, is thus further expanding its sustainable vacuum inline coating processes. According to Singulus Technologies, the environmentally friendly coating processes of vacuum coating technology have clear advantages over conventional galvanic processes.

Polycoater with vacuum cathode sputtering

The polycoater system from Singulus Technologies is designed as an inline system and is based on the principle of vacuum cathode sputtering (Physical Vapor Deposition = PVD). To ensure perfect coating from all angles, the components are rotated in a vacuum chamber. Compared to traditional batch production, sputtering in a vacuum shortens the manufacturing process and reduces production costs, as the automated solution can be used inline.

Versatility of the polycoater system

"We were looking for a process that would deliver high-quality surfaces continuously and reliably. The Polycoater system gives us this option. Thanks to its versatility, a wide range of products can be finished," says Stefano Rotella, representative of Albéa Cosmetics Italy Srl, Bottanuco BG.
