At this year's PaintExpo, Chemische Werke Kluthe GmbH will be presenting processes for reducing pollutant emissions in pre-treatment. Decorrdal replaces conventional iron and zinc phosphating.

The Decorrdal thin-film technology from Chemische Werke Kluthe is a cost-effective, phosphate-free process based on zirconium. Decorrdal replaces conventional iron phosphating and zinc phosphating. The thin-film process produces extremely thin, high-quality oxide and zirconium/titanium coatings on iron, zinc and aluminum substrates. Thin-film processes are already being used successfully in industries such as the automotive and agricultural machinery industries, both for passivation purposes and for optimum paint pre-treatment. The Decorrdal 900 and Decorrdal 600 series reduce the use of chemicals and energy consumption.

Purgematerials to reduce waste and wastage of resources

Other products that actively contribute to reducing waste and wastage of resources are Cyclosol, Controx and Nikutex. Cyclosol is a rinsing medium that is characterized by its efficient circulation and recycling options. Controx paint strippers are VOC-free and can be used sparingly, which helps to reduce harmful emissions. Nikutex is a water-based cleaning agent that reduces environmental impact.
