Interlaboratory tests serve the purpose of external quality assurance for measuring systems. In this process, an identical reference sample is examined in succession in all participating laboratories according to the standard analysis VDA 19.1. The results are evaluated anonymously and summarized and assessed in a detailed report in accordance with DIN 38402-A45.
For in-house testing laboratories, regular testing of measurement systems is an important part of quality management in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. Accredited testing laboratories must regularly participate in interlaboratory tests as part of state approval procedures; the DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard recommends annual participation.
Objective assessment and comparison with other laboratories
By participating, companies receive an objective assessment of their test results in comparison with other laboratories and can demonstrate their competence in performing cleanliness analyses – a relevant aspect for audits, accreditations, and in relation to customers and suppliers.
The participation fee is €550 plus VAT per measurement system, or €300 plus VAT for CEC members. Additional measurement systems can be registered at a discount.
