A new silicone- and polyether-modified acrylate from BYK ensures good flow and high surface smoothness. At the same time, it reduces the surface tension of the liquid coating.

Attractive appearance, optimum protection and excellent haptics - these are the essential requirements for a standard automotive coating. This task profile has now shifted more and more in the direction of individualization, for example in the form of two-tone coating. But other branches of industry are also looking for ways to improve the recoatability and adhesion of stickers, printing inks or adhesives on the coating layer, especially when good surface smoothness (slip) is also required.

With the new silicone- and polyether-modified acrylate BYK- 3568, BYK offers an additive that solves these tasks. The advantages are particularly evident in clear and top coats where good recoatability or adhesion of subsequent layers is required. Here it improves substrate wetting in the same way as a moderately active silicone and increases surface energy and surface smoothness in one step.
