Pfeiffer presents a system consisting of the oil-free Hiscroll 46 spiral vacuum pump and the modular ASI 35 tracer gas leak detector, which was developed for integration into industrial leak detection systems. It is suitable for leak testing battery cell housings and enables the early detection of leaks through which moisture could penetrate. According to the supplier, the combination of vacuum pump and leak detector enables fast and precise testing with high throughput, consistent quality and low costs in large-scale production.
Another exhibit is the ASM 340 helium and hydrogen leak detector, which was developed for production, quality control and maintenance. According to the manufacturer, it offers fast response times, high sensitivity and a user-friendly interface. The device will be demonstrated live at the Battery Show.
