Benseler, an automotive supplier specializing in surface finishing, will be sourcing green electricity from a German wind farm from 2025.

Benseler has concluded a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Eco2Grow, a provider of renewable energies, which enables the direct purchase of wind power. The wind PPA serves Benseler as a supplement to its own PV electricity production and sustainable energy supply.

Commitment to environmentally friendly production

"This step strengthens our commitment to environmentally friendly production and underlines our competitiveness in a changing energy market," says Thomas Müller, Managing Director of the Benseler Group. Benseler supplies solutions for coating, surface finishing, deburring and electrochemical metalworking of series parts. The group of companies based in Markgröningen near Stuttgart consists of the Coatings and Deburring divisions. In 2018, the company also entered into additive manufacturing in the metal sector.

Family business for new energies

Eco2Grow, a family business that has been in existence for more than 60 years, offers industrial SMEs access to green electricity from solar and wind power plants. With its platform for power purchase agreements (PPAs), the company is helping to transform the energy sector.
