Gerd Walker becomes the new Board Member for Production and Logistics at Audi AG. He replaces Peter Kössler, who is retiring.

Peter Kössler will be succeeded by Gerd Walker, who began his career at Audi in production and currently heads Volkswagen Group Production in Wolfsburg: "In Gerd Walker, Audi is gaining an accomplished production expert who will continue to drive forward the transformation of Audi plants worldwide in the direction of e-mobility," says Volkswagen CEO and Audi Supervisory Board Chairman Herbert Diess.

With Gerd Walker, an experienced production expert is taking over the Board of Management portfolio at Audi and is returning to Ingolstadt after stints in Wolfsburg and Györ. "Gerd Walker started his career at Audi, he is very familiar with our brand and philosophy and will continue to drive our future course in production and take the people with him. His task will be to optimize capacity utilization at our plants with the ramp-up of e-mobility, to achieve climate-neutral production in all plants by 2025 in terms of the balance sheet, and to further digitalize production and make it more flexible," says Audi CEO Markus Duesmann.
