The winners of the AMB Awards 2024 have received their prizes. The award ceremony took place at the AMB in Stuttgart. The award honors the best submitted products that were on display at the metalworking trade fair. The evaluation was carried out by a neutral jury consisting of representatives from the three sponsoring associations and the scientific community.
Webshop speeds up ordering
In the Software & Digitization category, goCAD GmbH received an award for a web store for CNC contract manufacturers. It enables customers to create quotations and commission contract manufacturers in just a few minutes. Customers save considerable time with the steps of technical specifications, calculating quotations and placing orders.
In the components, assemblies and operating materials category, Liquidtool Systems AG received an award for a cooling lubricant management system that monitors the fill level, concentration and temperature in the tanks fully automatically.
Roughness measurement during the running process
Mahr GmbH received the prize in the Measurement Technology & Quality Assurance category for a roughness measurement system that takes place directly in the CNC machine. It makes it possible to measure workpieces during the running process and determine the roughness standard. In the precision tools category, Hainbuch GmbH won with a pyramid-shaped clamping mandrel. It offers a significantly higher holding force than a conical mandrel. It also enables high cutting rates and significantly increases torque transmission.
Sodick Deutschland GmbH won in the machine tools and production systems category with wire erosion using the patented iGroove+ rotation process. This leads to a 30 percent increase in wire savings, higher surface quality and energy savings.
Active exoskeleton
In the automation and handling technology category, exoIQ GmbH received an award for its active exoskeleton. According to the company, this is the world's first exoskeleton for professional use that relieves strain on the arm, neck and shoulder muscles. It can be adapted to different body sizes and shapes without tools and can be adjusted to different activities using support modes.
Sustainable cooling lubricant filter and carbide milling cutter
The special prize for sustainability went to Vito AG for a cooling lubricant filter with AI-supported sensor technology. The system can be modularly expanded and put into operation via plug & play.
Ceratizit S.A. also received an award in the sustainability category for a carbide milling cutter that is made from 99 percent recycled raw materials.
