At Dörken, the newcomers were welcomed at the start by the works council, the youth and trainee representatives, and the HR department. Here they received information and a personalized welcome box. The trainees were then accompanied by their trainers to their departments, where they were equipped with technology and work clothes.
Also in the first week, there was a joint team-building session for everyone, moderated by Amelie Ullosat, Dörken's training manager, and Lys Vormann, recruiting officer. One day later, a look behind the scenes at Dörken followed. The trainees received safety training and visited the production halls for membranes and coatings together with Andre Gurski and Thomas Remy. During a tour of the site in the afternoon, things also got technical: they learned which machines are used and roughly how the production process works. Detailed product training for both business units will follow in the next few weeks.
