On the occasion of the company's 100th anniversary, the staff at Walther Spritz- und Lackiersysteme GmbH can look back with pride on a long company history. The company launched its first spraying tools back in the 1920s. From portable pressure tanks to comprehensive system solutions, Walther has contributed to shaping the industry for decades.
Luftikus spray gun
The "Luftikus" spray gun was the starting signal in the 1920s. This was Walther's first breakthrough on the market. This was followed by the introduction of the first "small paint spraying system" in the 1930s and the first implementation of suction systems in the 1940s. Walther also entered the container construction business at this time. In 1961, the company opened a second production facility in Neunkirchen-Struthütten and established the brand name "Walther Pilot".
Realignment and investments
In recent decades, the company has focused on its realignment and greater sustainability. Walther started the year 2024 with the modernization of the technical center at the Wuppertal site. At the same time, the Struthütten site is being rebuilt in order to modernize this plant as well and further increase production capacity. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Walther has compiled the entire company history and is presenting it on the company's own website.
