The power lies in the sum: many small improvements lead to respectable savings when flow-mechanically improved, durable pumps with more efficient motors are used on coating systems.

Pumps have a considerable influence on the operating and maintenance costs of a system. Not only the efficiency of the electric motor is decisive for the energy balance, but also the fluidic quality of a pump. For example, in electroplating but also in cleaning plants, where pumps are in operation very constantly, their efficiency inevitably has an influence on the energy consumption and thus the operating costs. When evaluating their efficiency, the parameters of delivery volume, pressure, the medium to be pumped and, on the other hand, the drive power required for this must be considered.
The pump manufacturer Hendor from the Netherlands has been able to considerably increase the efficiency of the hydraulic part of its pumps over the last few years. Compared to the pumps that Hendor had in its product range ten years ago, the company can now almost always offer its customers a drive one motor size smaller - with the same pump capacity. This means, for example, that a current pump consumes only 0.75 kW per hour instead of 1.1 kW.
