With this concept, the current heating energy requirement can also be kept at a low level. The energy-efficient, modulating-controlled gas heating of the adhesive water dryer (directly heated) and the powder oven (indirectly heated) in the respective circulating air system are, in addition to the "isoplus" insulation now familiar from Noppel, further components of the energy-optimized dryer/oven block. The last step in the coating process is the cooling of the workpieces in a closed cooling zone with filtered supply/exhaust/recirculating air operation. Disturbing heating of the workshop, especially in the summer months, is avoided and the workpieces are safely cooled down enough to be removed, stacked or directly packed. MWN GmbH places high priority on environmental protection and energy-saving processes. Therefore, a photovoltaic system with an output of 300 kW was installed on the roof of the new hall, which is able to cover most of MWN's electricity requirements with the two pretreatment and powder coating systems.

The fresh water requirements of the two Noppel pretreatment plants are also essentially met, without the use of water from the public municipal water network, by the planned rainwater cisterns, which are fed with rainwater via the roof surfaces. This rainwater/freshwater system has already provided up to 30,000 liters of rainwater per month as supplemental freshwater to the two pretreatment plants. A wood chip heating system, which incidentally removes the accumulating pallet wood and thereby supports the hot water supply, rounds off the sustainable energy concept.
Largely self-sufficient energy supply: an eye on the future

After a few months in operation, the new pretreatment and powder coating system has been seamlessly integrated into MWN's daily work routine and the possibilities offered by the Noppel system technology are appreciated by MWN and also very well accepted by its customers. With workpiece dimensions of 2,500 x 1,000 x 2,200 mm and a maximum payload of 400 kg/ transport trolley, the system offers an additional service that is being used intensively after only a short time. Possible capacity increases have already been taken into account in the plant design. Twelve transport carts per hour usually pass through the complete pretreatment and powder coating line. In addition, double coatings can also be applied, or workpieces can be powder coated without prior pretreatment. This enables throughput to be increased to 20 transport carts per hour.
