The door manufacturer Garant produced around 800,000 doors and 700,000 frames in 2021. But the company wanted to expand its own capacities with an eye to the future. For this purpose, the concept of a new automated "production line spraying robot" for energy-efficient production was developed - the goal: an increase in production that would secure capacities until the year 2030 without compromising on quality. Venjakob was commissioned as the general contractor. Since UV water-based coatings are applied at Garant, the decision was made to use a combined process of modern circulating air technology and innovative air treatment technology. The new system not only reduces heating energy but also CO2 emissions. Further process optimisations ensure paint savings of 30 per cent.

Automation solutions for smaller craft businesses pose completely different challenges for the technologies used: a medium-sized interior fitter with 20 employees processes high-quality woods that give the interiors of hotels, clinics or wellness facilities a stylish feel-good ambience. A semi-automatic coating system from Venjakob is suitable for coating the very different geometries. It is affordable for smaller companies and is geared to their requirements. The machine coats with four spray guns that are moved by a powerful linear drive. With the automatic coating machine, the energy balance per unit produced could be significantly reduced.
