With the Lean Lab, BASF has implemented a state-of-the-art, modular laboratory concept for the production of automotive coatings at its Münster site. The focus here is on digitized and transparent development processes as well as a high degree of resource efficiency. BASF works with several hundred raw materials with different properties to develop the coatings. They are metered by double diaphragm pumps from Timmer. Dosing accurate to the gram is not feasible only with constant pump performance.
