Eisenmann back on course after three years
Abstract
The renowned plant manufacturer Eisenmann GmbH finds its way back to profitable business after three years. Right at the beginning, investments in the further development and optimisation of proven products contributed to the successful restart.

Following the conclusion of insolvency proceedings, Eisenmann GmbH can continue its core business in plant engineering. The investor Nimbus has taken over the Paint and Assembly division. All patents - more than 1,000 of them - were integrated into the newly founded Eisenmann GmbH, including the process and conveyor technology products. At the company headquarters in Böblingen, 8,000 m² of former production space was rented for the resumption of business operations. One of the first technology projects of the new Eisenmann GmbH is the VarioShuttle XL. It is a very flexible 3-axis system for conveying car bodies through the pre-treatment and KTL processes.
Skid conveyor technology is still the standard in automotive painting. From an environmental and energy efficiency point of view, however, this is not a particularly ideal solution. This is because in addition to a car body, which weighs about 350 kg depending on the model, the skid also travels through all the process steps with a dead weight of about 250 kg.AGVs, autonomous automated guided vehicles, offer a flexibly scalable alternative. Capacity increases are possible without interrupting production, in contrast to classic skid conveyor technology. Eisenmann has also further developed its drying systems and dry separation systems.
