Abstract

An electrolyte is now available for electroplating with pure platinum that enables the deposition of exceptionally thick, homogeneous and crack-free platinum layers.

In order to make optimum use of the versatility of platinum as a coating material, Umicore Metal Deposition Solutions, a business unit of the Umicore Group, has developed an electrolyte specifically for platinum plating. Platuna PT is the result of many years of research. It can be used in various technical applications.
