EU: New opportunities for Cr(VI)
Abstract
It sounds promising that the authorization of chromium(VI) substances is to become a restriction. First signs indicate that a constructive dialog with the ECHA can be possible.

A few weeks ago, the EU Commission issued an official mandate to the ECHA, asking it to prepare a restriction dossier for two chromium(VI) substances (chromium trioxide and chromic acid). The "authorization of chromium(VI)" drama could thus come to an end.
