For five days, LIGNA 2023 offered innovations, inspiration and the opportunity to network. From May 15 to 19, 2023, 1300 companies from 50 countries presented their solutions for the wood and furniture industry, the woodworking trade and the primary sector.

The focus of LIGNA was on the megatrends of sustainability and digitization. 80,000 visitors from 160 countries learned about smart and networked machines, automation solutions and process-optimizing methods. The show was accompanied by a diverse supporting program of conferences, live presentations and expert exchanges. "Sixty percent of the visitors came from abroad. This means that LIGNA has further strengthened its position as the world's leading global trade show," said Dr. Jochen Köckler, Chairman and CEO of Deutsche Messe AG.

Visitors were able to experience in the exhibition halls how the industry is changing: In addition to woodworking machines and systems, industrial robots or exoskeletons for work in crafts and forestry were also on display. In many cases, the machines are now suitable not only for processing wood, but also for glass, plastics or composite materials. "Furniture or construction elements are made of a wide variety of materials. So it's only logical that the exhibitors at LIGNA expand their range accordingly," says Köckler.
