Printing ink specialist Hubergroup Print Solutions has revised and strengthened its UV offset portfolio for non-absorbent substrates. Some products are now sensory neutral and formulated PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene)-free.

There are some changes in Hubergroup's UV offset portfolio: The ink and coating series are now formulated PTFE-free to comply with the regulations of the American market as well as the requirements of major brand owners and to be prepared for future specifications in other global markets. In addition, the NewV lac range of coatings has recently been made free of benzophenone, a substance that is considered controversial due to its potential carcinogenic effects. Last but not least, in the metal packaging sector, there is a new NewV tin LED series, which includes UV inks and coatings for LED drying.

"It was important for us to provide printers with a coordinated and globally available portfolio with the best printing performance." These are the words used by Roland Schröder, UV Offset Product Manager at Hubergroup, to justify the new lineup as a complete range that includes not only inks but also coatings and dampening solution additives. Tools such as the company's own HDCC color management system, which guarantees customers the same color worldwide, are also part of the company's service offering.
