Grohe manager becomes new VdL economic officer

Bastian Herfel is moving from fittings manufacturer Grohe to the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry Association (VdL). In October, he took over the position of Economics and Finance Officer from Christoph Maier.

In future, Bastian Herfel will be responsible for economic policy at VdL. He moved from Grohe AG to VdL at the beginning of October. He will take over the Economics and Finance division from Christoph Maier, the previous head of the division, who is retiring in April 2025.

Studied economics and industrial engineering

Bastian Herfel, born in 1988, comes from Lüdenscheid. He studied industrial engineering at the SWF University of Applied Sciences in Hagen and completed his master's degree with a focus on economics at the University of Hagen. The Sauerland native started his career in the sanitary industry at Grohe AG. He most recently worked there as a project/process manager in purchasing.
