The Gpainnova Group, which manufactures technologies for the surface treatment of metals, among other things, has officially entered the space industry with the creation of its spin-off Gpaspace. The new company was presented at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC), which took place in Milan from October 14 to 18, 2024 and was supported by the Catalan government (Generalitat de Catalunya) and the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC).
Leveraging the expertise of Gpainnova
The creation of Gpaspace underlines Gpainnova's commitment to the aerospace sector and follows on from recent investments to create a dedicated laboratory for the end-to-end manufacturing of nanosatellites and related components for partners in the NewSpace industry.
From marine robotics to medical technology
Gpainnova has already successfully founded several companies: Seabots focuses on marine robotics, and Gpamedical deals with medical devices. Gpainnova, with expertise in mechanical engineering and power electronics, offers support to companies seeking growth and technical assistance in high-tech areas.
